Snowbowl

We made a last minute decision this morning to go up to the Snowbowl to do the scenic Skyride and I'm sure glad we did! It was a really good day to go (weather wise) and it was beautiful! I have lived here 28 years and Rich almost 9 and we had never done it before. We stopped at Subway and picked up sandwiches and had a picnic before the ride. The only bummer was that we couldn't all ride together but we had fun anyways. The kids were good the whole way and seemed to enjoy it. Poor Kortlin has Roseola Virus and has been soo sick all week and didn't really feel good but she was a trooper and didn't even cry even though you can tell she didn't feel like being there.

Happy Birthday Derek!!

Today is my brothers 26th Birthday. We went to Fratelli's Pizza and then back to my families house for presents and pie and ice cream. Happy Birthday Derek! Thanks for being such a fun uncle! We love you!

Fun Weekend

Every year Rich's work has a family weekend down in Phoenix and this year it was at "The Pointe Resort". Since his brother Dwayne works for the same company we always get to go with their family and it is fun spending time with them. We went down a day earlier and stayed with Rich's sister and we were able to go to Nathan's baseball game Saturday morning before heading to the resort. The baseball field was amazing. They had the coolest water park and toys for kids to play on.

Unfortunately I was a major slacker and didn't take ONE single picture of this weekend. Rich and I were outnumbered in kids who couldn't swim so it was just too hard to get the camera out to take pictures. I wish I could have because we had such a great time. There was a water park at the resort that had a wave pool (which was Caiden and the girls favorite), a lazy river, and an eight-story high water slide that Rich and Dwayne did several times, and even Eve and I conquered. I just about chickened out at the top but Eve made me go! I'm glad we did, it was fun!

Quick Utah Trip

This weekend we were able to go up to Utah and spend time with some good friends the McCall's and the Fechser's. There are so many fun things to do and never enough time. Brittany took us to Thanksgiving Point which all my kids loved.
We were also able to see Ed and Ruth's new baby Grace. She is adorable! We spent most of our time with them eating...it was all good though, but I didn't take any pictures. We ate REAL mexican food, GOODWOOD (BBQ), and yummy icecream at Maggie Moo's. I'm glad we had the chance to hang out with both families. We had so much fun!! Thanks Brittany and Haven for letting us stay with you guys!!

Caiden is not a big fan of animals (I don't know where he got that from...) so we have never been able to get him to ride a pony. After sitting and watching Brittany's kids ride he says "Um, I think I might want to do that." So he walked all the way around until he found the exact pony he wanted to ride and then was trying to act like he wasn't enjoying himself. I was able to get him to smile for a picture though.

Putting out the Fire

This afternoon Caiden comes out of the bathroom and tells me "Mom, there was a fire on the wall and so I put it out with my pee!!" He was so proud of himself and thought it was the coolest thing ever. I was thinking he better not have done what I am thinking he did...so I run to the bathroom to discover pee running down the wall and all over the outside of the toilet. DISGUSTING!! I was shocked! Caiden is usually a clean kid who doesn't really make messes and do things like this. I shouldn't have been surprised because lately he is obsessed with fires and firemen. He always goes in the backyard and puts out pretend fires with the water hose but peeing on the bathroom wall is where I draw the line. I was mad but I couldn't help but laugh as I was scrubbing my bathroom.
