Rich's parent's received their mission call...but they wouldn't tell anyone where they were going until we were all together (Thanks EVE!!!). They decided that the perfect time to announce would be the Second Chance PROM that my sister-in-law, Eve was in charge of in Kingman. We all got dressed up and went to dinner at the Hualapai Resort, which was a cool restaurant up in the mountains. Noma reading the letter and... they are heading to Johannesburg, South Africa!! Congratulations Fuzz and Noma, we are so excited for you!
For Memorial Day weekend we went down to the valley with my family. The weather was perfect and it was nice to get out of the rain. We stopped in Anthem of course to shop and then onto Cafe Rio for dinner. Saturday we went to a park that had little kids rides and then since it was hot we found a spot to just hang out in the shade and relax. Afterwards we went to dinner at my favorite mexican restaurant Serrano's and then to Bahama Bucks for dessert. Our friends Cody and Emily were able to come and spend time with us also which was fun. My dear son quietly, without me knowing told the waitress, "It's my mom's birthday, can you embarrass her?" The next thing I know I'm wearing this thing while all the employees are singing to me. Just wait kid...your turn is coming!!!
Jon hooked us up with his blow-up boat that we took around the lake at my Aunt's house which was really fun too. Thanks Jon!!
On my birthday Rich had to work and left before I was even awake. I woke up and got ready and then figured I would fix myself a boring bowl of cheerios. As I walked into the kitchen I found this... Stuffed French Toast-My fav! What a good surprise, my hubby is the BEST! Then I got the kids ready and we went to see a movie. Probably not one of my best ideas to take 3 kids by myself but at least #1 had a good time. After nap time I met my mom and sister at Outback for dessert! YUM!! Then my parents watched the kids and Rich and I went to Monsoon's for dinner. Basically we have done A LOT of eating in the last couple of days but it was all dang good! Then we went back to my parent's house for ice cream and presents. Thanks everyone, I had a great day! I have the best friends and family EVER!
#3 has always been the accident prone one, until now. She is constantly getting hurt but usually bounces right up, and if she does cry it's only for a second. Well I think it's #2's turn because she has had a rough couple of weeks. It started at #1's t-ball game. She tripped and fell and was covered in blood and dirt. She had a huge scab on her nose and mouth. Then a few days ago we went for a walk and she just got out of her stroller to walk the last little ways home and tripped and fell. She had two huge scabs on both knees. Then there was Sunday night...It was time for bed and the kids took the cushions off the couch and were sliding down the side of the couch while Rich and I were getting their PJ's. We told them to stop because someone was going to get hurt and right then Kelsi fell off the back, which happens to be the highest point on the couch. She was up all night crying so we gave her Tylenol. Monday she was fine, just tired. Tuesday morning I picked her up by her arms to put her on the couch and she screamed and didn't stop screaming for about an hour. We called our pediatrician neighbor and he sent us over to get x-rays. Sure enough it has a break, luckily it doesn't require a cast. She screamed bloody murder in the office while they were putting the splint on, all the way through the building to the doors, and through the entire parking lot. Poor girl!! Hopefully this will be the last accident for a while! She absolutely hates the splint. She cries when I put it on and yells "mean" and swats at me with it. We will find out tomorrow how long she has to wear it for...hopefully not very long!
I just want to let my kids know how grateful I am to be their mom. I am extremely lucky to be able to stay home with them each day and I truly love them more than anything. I am thankful for my own mom and mother-in-law who are both such good examples to me in so many ways. My day was wonderful and I hope everyone else's was too!
After #1's t-ball game this afternoon we headed down to Phoenix. We stopped in Anthem and did some shopping and let the kids play around.

A friend of ours let us stay in his house so we invited Cody and Emily to come stay there with us. Sunday morning we all got up and went to the blessing of Lance and Stephanie's new baby Rory. It was so much fun hanging out again the way we used to. It has been way too long since we all got together. We missed you Ryan and Jen!! Lance and Steph, thanks for inviting us to be a part of Rory's special day. You guys have a cute family, glad we had the chance to meet them! Lance and Steph, Cody and Emily, Rich and Linsey
