The Girls

It's been WAY to long since I have put pictures up of the twins. They are now almost 8 months old. It's funny how different they are from each other. You always hear that you shouldn't compare them to each other but it's hard not to. They are still exactly a pound apart. Kelsi weighs 14 pounds now and is rolling around everywhere. She hasn't really tried crawling yet and just scoots backwards. She has started saying "ba-ba-ba-ba" and is starting to get her first tooth. Kortlin weighs 13 pounds now and is trying to skip the crawling and just stand up and walk. She has started saying "da-da-da-da" and is also getting her first tooth. They both like to eat squash, bananas, and sweet potatoes and will laugh at anything their big brother does. These pictures were taken on January 1, 2008, so they were almost 7 months old.

Preschool

On Tuesday the 22nd, was Caiden's first day of Preschool. He was a little nervous but mostly excited. He did great all week and can't wait to go again next week. He is growing up SO fast!

Who does the dishes? Usually me, but I do get help with them quite a bit!
Who cooks dinner? Me, but I do get help with that a lot lately too.
Who drives when you are together? Always Rich, he hates not driving.
Who is more stubborn? Unfortunately that would be me.
Who has more friends? I think we are pretty equal on this one.

The Shaving Kit

We thought it would be cute to get Caiden a shaving kit for Christmas so he could shave like his dad. Cute right? WRONG!! This is how the kit should be used:

Every day when I put him in the shower he says (with a total straight face) "Mom, it's gonna take me a little longer today. I have to shave my legs." We have told him over and over that guys shave their face and girls shave their legs but he refuses. He cracks me up! Where do kids come up with these things?!?

The Big Eight!

On Monday, January 7th, was our 8th wedding anniversary! I can't believe how fast it has gone by! My mom and Derek came to watch the kids so we could go to dinner. The only problem was that during the day we got 18 inches of snow and most of the restaurants were shut down. We finally found that Olive Garden was open so we ended up eating there. It doesn't happen very often that we get to go to dinner alone and we sure had a great time. I am so lucky to have the best husband ever! Rich, thanks for a wonderful 8 years! I LOVE YOU!!

Happy New Year!!

On New Years Eve the Blisses invited us, the McCall's, and the Buehner's over for a party. We had good cheese and chocolate fondue and celebrated the New Year at the top of every hour for the kids. It was a lot of fun. We gladly accepted my parents offer of coming over to our house to stay with the girls while we went. Thanks Cody and Kristy for such a fun night!!







When we got home my family was all there so we ate some more, played games, and went outside at midnight to blow our horns and throw poppers. Everyone had a good time. Happy New Year!!!
