The Big 7

For some reason we always end up celebrating Caiden's birthday over the span of several days.  He never seems to complain about it though.  Jon and Keli wanted to come up for the weekend so we celebrated Saturday with them by going to dinner at Arby's (Caiden's choice), bowling, and then opened presents and had cake and ice cream.

On Monday, his actual birthday, the girls and I took cupcakes into his classroom at school.  His class sang to him and we told embarrassing stories about him.

After school he chose Del Taco for dinner, swimming at the Aquaplex with Chad, Becky, Cayden, Kenna, Brent Gilliland, Alissa and Cailyn Weathersby, and ice cream at Baskin Robbins afterwards.

Happy Birthday bud!  It's hard to believe you are already 7 years old!  It has gone by fast!  We love you more than anything and are so proud of you!!!

Spring Break

To start Spring Break off, Wednesday we drove to the Phoenix Airport to surprise Rich's parents as they walked off the plane from their mission in South Africa!  We were so excited and couldn't wait to see them!

 Here they come!!

They were so excited and surprised to see us all there!

Nana was sooo glad to be back in Arizona that she wanted a picture taken while she was kissing the good 'ol Arizona ground.

Grandpa Fuzz's food request was Taco Bell so we had an early dinner there and went across the street to a park afterwards.  The cousins had fun running and playing together and the adults were able to sit and hear some of the fun stories.  We are glad they are back!  It felt longer than 18 months!!

Rich had to go back and finish working the rest of the week (he was able to come back down on Friday to spend the rest of the weekend with us) so I took the kids and we went to Jon and Keli's house and met Derek and my parents there.  We spent the rest of the week shopping, eating out, going to a spring training game, eating out, fishing, riding bikes, mini golfing, eating, and an outdoor drive-thru movie.  It was so much fun and I'm mad I didn't take any pictures.  We loaded up our cars with blankets and lawn chairs, put on our PJ's, grabbed sub sandos to eat and headed over to watch "Rango."  I thought the movie was sooo dumb but it was so much fun to sit outside in nice weather, eat dinner, and watch a movie.  We had a blast.  Thanks J and K for letting us stay with you guys!

Snowboarding

It took Caiden one time going down the mountain falling to remember how to snowboard but then he
was a pro after that.

Derek was so focused on recording Caiden that he ended up eatin a little snow at the end of this video...
