Sibling Love

(This melts my heart)

They always beg to have slumber party's together. Caiden wanted to sleep on the floor in the girls room tonight and when I put them down they were all in their separate beds. As I was checking on them before going to bed this is how I found them.

Who says commercials don't work?!?

because they sure work on kids! I don't even think Caiden watches TV that much but this is what he said to me this week:

**I was in the laundry room trying to get some stains out of the kids clothes when he walked in and said, "Mom, it's not clean unless it's Oxy Clean. You gotta get some of that."

**I was cleaning the floor with my new Swiffer Wet Jet (which I LOVE by the way and I'm not sure why it took me so long to get one) and he said, "Don't worry Mom, your old mop will find someone else."

**We were driving in the car and he said his legs hurt and they always hurt for a few seconds and then it goes away. I told him maybe it was growing pains and explained what that was and told him when we got home we could give him some Tylenol or ibuprofen. He says, "You can just throw those away, they are no good! I need Pamprin." Rich and I started busting up so Rich told him the only bad thing was that he could only use it once a month!

So maybe he is watching too much but if we get gems like this it's worth it!

The Canyon

Caiden had a soccer game at the Grand Canyon today. I think Soccer is my favorite sport to watch him play so far. This is such a fun age.

Halftime snack

Of course when the game was over we went over to show the kids "the big hole." The funny thing is that it looks fake so the girls kept telling us they couldn't see it.

Jon was doing some major pondering here...

Utah/California Family Reunion

My mom and I drove up to Utah with my kids to see her family for a few days. Her sister planned a family reunion for everyone that started in Utah and then those who could, drove down to Oceanside for the rest of the week. Derek flew to Utah for a few days and then Rich and my Dad met up with us in California.

Some of the highlights from the trip include:
* Watching my kids and cousins kids play in my Grandparents back yard. I have so many fun memories of vacations there, that it was really fun being able to have my kids do the same.
My cousin and her husband bought the house when my Grandparents passed away and have fixed it up so cute. I hadn't been back for four years, since the funeral, and I was really dreading
it. I sobbed and sobbed on the drive there as we passed all the places my Grandparents used to
go, but as we walked into their house, it was such an awesome feeling. I miss them so much!

* All the fun cousin games my aunt planned.

* Everyone having fun together.

* Shopping with my "sister" Ruth. I love this girl and wish we lived closer! Probably a good thing we don't though! HAHA! 8)

* The first day in Cali we went to the beach. My girls were not fans of the water and neither was Caiden. By the end he loved it though!

* Sea World.

At night they have a show called "Shamu Rocks" and they play lots of fun music and have a fireworks show. It was really fun!

We went to the beach again and this time the waves kept coming up over the sand, clear onto the rocks we were sitting on.

We ended up staying a day longer than everyone else so the last day we spent shopping. In the afternoon we went down to the beach and rented a bike to ride around. There were three teenagers that also rented one so we kept racing each other and it made it even more fun!

* The walk on the pier.
* "That's the last thing I need, I got a whole pocket full of cash!"
* "You okay? Be careful out there."

A birthday and a goal

My sisters Birthday kinda stunk this year because she had to work. We took her to Olive Garden for lunch before she went in.

Then half way through her shift we had a tailgate party in the police department parking lot with ice cream and a small cake.

Two days later Caiden had his 2nd soccer game in Williams. Rich was lucky enough to be the ref.

On the drive there we were teasing Caiden and told him if he scored a goal he could buy us all lunch with all his tooth fairy money he has been getting. Then we told him we were kidding and if he scored we would buy and he could pick the restaurant. We figured we were pretty safe since it was only his second game...but he must of wanted lunch bad. He scored a goal in the first 3 minutes of the game! He ended up picking "Cars Cafe."

A trip to Williams wouldn't be complete without seeing the trains.

When we got back into town we loaded up and headed out to the lake to finish celebrating Keli's Birthday.

Caiden is a gamer and loves wake boarding now and was begging to go by himself! I actually tried it for the first time and really liked it too! I am not putting up any pictures of me actually wake boarding because my skin is too pasty and white and would blind everyone.

Happy Birthday Keli! We LOVE you!!
