Giving Thanks

For Thanksgiving this year we were lucky to celebrate twice! Rich's whole family (minus Tom's family in Georgia, and his parents serving a mission in South Africa) we were all there at Chad and Becky's house. Becky cooked for two days before everyone even got there. She did an amazing job and everything was really good.

The cousins had a great time playing together the whole weekend.

I was even lucky enough to get foot massages from sweet little Ellie.

On Saturday we had Thanksgiving #2 at my families house. Derek was off work, and Keli and Jon were home off their honeymoon so we were all able to be there. I forgot to get any pictures, but I did get pictures of the food table, and then deleted them somehow as I was trying to get them on my blog...ugh!

One cute story though:
Caiden was soooo excited to do the wishing bone this year. On Thanksgiving we told him he had to wait a few days so the bone could dry out a little before trying to break it with his sisters. He was kinda sad for a minute and then said, "Well it's okay. I have to think of a new wish anyways." I asked him why, what his first wish was and he told me, "I wished that we could all be together to eat Thanksgiving dinner and I got that wish Mom. We were all together today."
Aww, what a sweet boy he is!

The Big Day for J & K

Two days before the big day, we did a girls day and went to have our toes and nails done.

The night before the wedding Jon's parents invited everyone (our whole family, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends) over to their house to meet their family.  It was fun getting the chance to talk to them before the wedding in the morning.

After the temple, we ate a quick lunch at the park right across the street and then headed up to Flag to finish setting up for the reception.  It ended up being really fun, really cold, but fun!  The crazy thing is that about 5 minutes after everything was cleaned up outside, it started pouring down rain.  A few hours later that turned to snow and it continued to snow the whole next day.  (We don't have any of the professional pictures yet so I will update later when we get them.)

Congratulations Keli and Jonathan!  We are so happy for you and love you both!

Open Wide

Kelsi

Kortlin

First trip to the dentist - Caiden told them they could take their own sunglasses to wear so they put them on first thing in the morning and would not take them off until we left the office.

Caiden went in first and told them to "Go easy on my sisters. They are first timers." Kelsi did fine with everything, Kort did good until the x-rays and realized she was NOT a fan and started crying and then wouldn't stop. They thought the new toothbrushes, floss, and stickers were the coolest things e.v.e.r.

Growing Up

So proud of my little sister...

7 more days..we are excited to call this guy our brother-in-law!
(Rich conveniently ran to get the car since it was parked really far away right during picture time...but he was here too)

It was such a fun day, being able to all be together in the temple. There was an accident and they shut the freeway down so Rich, Derek, and I cut it CLOSE and barely made it in time.

Afterwards, we went to dinner at Joe's Farmgrill with Jon's sweet parents, our cousin Jennifer, and Uncle Edward.
