Gone Fishin'

It seems like everyone has fishing pictures on their blogs lately so we decided to join the crowd...

Rich and Derek had a softball game tonight so we walked over to the duck pond next to the softball fields after the game. Of course we didn't catch anything but we still had fun!

I can see clearly now...

Last month I went in for my regular, yearly eye appointment. While I was there they made me sign a paper saying I used my contacts the proper way, taking them out when they were supposed to be changed...blah, blah, blah. At the end it told about all the problems you can have by not following this and it scared the crud out of me. My doctor mentioned LASIK and told me to make an appointment for a consultation.

A few weeks later I had my consultation and he told me I was borderline for getting it done because of my poor vision and age. Then he checked the thickness of my corneas and said I was a perfect candidate. He said it was "now or never", so I opted for NOW and had the surgery done a few days later down in Phoenix.

I wanted to take a picture outside of the building before the surgery but I was so dang nervous I totally forgot. I owe my parents a huge THANK YOU for watching my kids while we were gone, and Rich for taking care of me. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT and am so glad I did it!!

It's hard to believe...

that 2 years have already come and gone. I don't know what we would do without these two!! Happy Birthday girls, we love you!!!

(The signs in the background are some that #1 and I made for them)

We had a small family party at our house with Grandma Nana, Grandpa Fuzz, Uncle Derek, Grandma and Grandpa Day, and Mike who had to work but kept popping in when he had a chance.

They got a little outdoor picnic table with an umbrella, a water table, scooter, bike, and TONS of clothes!

#3 was getting ticked. She wanted to hop right on the bike and scooter and go straight down the driveway, into the street with NO help! She is so independent and stubborn.

#3 took the candles out and dove right in...

#2 wouldn't eat off the little plate I fixed for her, she wanted the whole thing!
