Guys/Girls Night Out

Every year Rich, my Dad, and Derek go to a Suns game together. This year they decided Caiden was old enough to go with them, and he has been so excited that he talked about it all week. When they got to Phoenix they went to TGIF's for dinner and then headed to the game.

On the way down

As they were walking to find their seats a lady came up and asked Caiden if he would like to be the "Peter Piper Pizza Kid of the Game." She took him and Rich down to the court and gave him a shirt to put on, and then had him sit at the end of the bench where all the players sit.

They were down there for the National Anthem and had Caiden's picture all over the jumbotron. He was able to watch the whole team, including Shaq, warm-up and was able to give the Gorilla a "High 5".

They were given 4 pizza's and 4 drinks from Peter Piper Pizza, and they were sitting in the "Party Zone" and a shirt was thrown which they caught also. It was a good first game experience for Caiden!!

Too much excitement for the little guy...

While the guys were having fun at the game, my mom, sister, and I went shopping, brought dinner back to my house, and watched a chick flick. Thanks for a fun night girls, I love you!!

Playing outside

The kids were finally feeling better after 4 straight weeks of being sick and today was absolutely gorgeous so we went outside to play. The kids were all SO excited and screamed when they had to come in (obviously we don't get out much.) Our friends the McCall's gave us their swingset and playhouse, THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I have a feeling we will be spending the whole summer out there! They have been begging to go out again, hopefully it will be nice the rest of the week. Spring and summer hurry up!!!

What's been going on

I haven't been able to post anything for a while, it's been a little crazy around here! Here are some of the things we have been up to:

* #3 had a bad chest cold that lasted a whole week then the next week:
* #2 had a double ear infection (her very first) and was one step from pneumonia
* Our friends Cody and Emily came to stay with us-It was fun spending time with you guys!!
* #3 was better for a week (while #2 was sick) then got croup
* All three kids throwing up in one day
* 3 sick, whiny, grumpy, non-sleeping kids = a whole very, very tired family with no time to blog!!
* Rich's whole family came for the weekend which was a lot of fun. On Saturday night our E.Q. had a Valentine's dance which they asked Rich's brother Chad and "Tin Purcent" to play at. The whole family went and we danced the night away. Most people who know me, know that I hate dancing but it was actually a lot of fun! Afterwards Dwayne, Eve, David, Amy, Chad, and Becky all came over for some hot chocolate. We had fun sitting around talking and laughing.

Sunday night we were at Chad's house hanging out and fixing dinner. Eve had just finished saying that dinner was ready when the power went out. We sat and ate dinner with a few candles and then started singing songs to the kids to pass the time, and Chad also broke out his guitar and sang some more.
We are actually sitting in the dark in these pictures, you just can't really tell.

3 hours later the power was still out and it was bed time for our sick kids. Unfortunately we couldn't get into our house by garage or front door since the
power was out in our neighborhood also. We decided to go to my parent's house since their neighborhood was having no problems. We made some quick beds up on the floor for the kids and were trying to get them to sleep when we got a call the power was back on. We cleaned everything up quick and jumped in the car and headed for home. As we were turning onto our street the power went off AGAIN!! So CLOSE to getting inside, UGH! We decided we would sleep in our car in the driveway for a while and hope it came on soon. After about an hour and a half of that we decided to forget it and head back to my parents. By this time it was almost midnight and we were all exhausted from not sleeping for the last 3 weeks!! We get half way there and notice that all the commercial lights that were off the first time had come back on so
maybe our lights would be next. We head BACK home and wait some more and still nothing...we finally ended up going back to my parent's house to get a little bit of sleep. I guess you never really know how much you rely on electricity until you don't have it. Anyways, we had a fun weekend with family and are glad everyone was able to come!

Sticky Situation

So today I was fixing one of my craft's and picked up Rich's super glue. I took the lid off and the glue started running down my whole hand and onto my knuckles. It was all over all my fingers on my right hand so I panicked and put the tube of glue into my left, getting it all over those fingers too. I did the dumbest thing possible and started rubbing my fingers to get it off...that only glued them together. I went running into the other room for Rich to help me and he says "Oh wow." I knew then that I was in trouble. I ended up gluing my second and third fingers together on my left hand, and my second and third fingers together on my right hand along with the tube of glue. I was so afraid I was going to have to walk into the E.R. with a tube of glue stuck to my hand looking like a moron.

Rich is cracking up and grabs the camera and starts taking pictures while I'm still not thinking it's very funny yet. He then tells me he can order a glue remover if I can wait until Tuesday when it comes in. Ha, funny guy. I ended up soaking my hands in warm soapy water and this was the next result...

A little bit of the tube is better than the whole thing! Eventually several soakings later it all came off. What a mess, I will never use super glue again!!
