Happy Halloween!!

We started this year out by going Trick or Treating to a few houses in our neighborhood. Then we went to Grandpa and Grandma's neighborhood and did a few more houses and then inside for a fun Halloween party. We ate yummy soup in bread bowls, and played lots of games! We had a great time!

Carving Pumpkins

Every year for FHE we carve pumpkins the week of Halloween. We had a lot of fun this year with two extra helpers!

Kelsi and Caiden

Kortlin

Rich, my mom, and Mike

My dad

We let Caiden choose how he wanted to carve his pumpkin and he chose a "4" for the eyes, "7" for the nose, and "1" for the mouth...no clue. His is the one all the way to the left but we didn't cut the numbers wide enough so there is not much light showing through. OOPS!

The girls helped out for a few minutes and then were bored and ended up feeding each other cereal the rest of the time. They spilled it all over my mom, themselves, and the floor but had fun doing it. YES, I said cereal for dinner. They have been sick and have not eaten hardly anything for the last few days so when they actually wanted to eat something I didn't care what it was.

Just because they look the same...

Kortlin, Kelsi

doesn't mean they act the same! Kelsi has been SO sweet lately. When we go shopping or for a walk, she just sits back in the stroller and never says a word. She sleeps all night and is a great eater. She is really into books right now and is constantly bringing me a book to read to her. She always gives hugs and kisses and even helps clean up when asked! Then there is Kortlin, the little problem child! She is always getting into something, climbing up on something, pushing her older sibblings, ect...She knows when she is doing something naughty because she will tilt her head to the side and give a smile that says "I'm too cute to be mad at" and then come and give a hug. We are hoping this is just a phase, but if not we love her anyways!

Niklaus Visits

Rich's brother David was in town for a golf tournament so he brought along his son Nicklaus. Caiden and Nicklaus had fun playing Wii pretty much all day until we finally talked them into going to the duck pond in the afternoon. After the tournament David, Chad, Becky, Cayden, and Kenna came over for pizza and some Wii Fit.

Chad, Cayden, and Kenna doing the Hula Hoop! It was hilarious!!

Ice Cream

My brother and Sister both had today off from work so we all hopped in the car and headed to Anthem to do some shopping. It was fun to get out of the house and into some warmer weather! My parents had been at the Mesa Temple and ended up right behind us on the freeway heading home, so we all stopped at the Dairy Queen in Camp Verde for some ice cream.

Prescott Weekend

Rich's parents were in charge of a Boy Scout fundraiser dinner this weekend so we went down to Prescott Friday night. We met Grandma Nana, Chad, Becky, Cayden, and Kenna at Texas Roadhouse Friday night. Saturday morning Grandpa Fuzz took "big" Cayden, "little" Caiden, and Kenna out shooting and of course to the candy store to spoil them! Then Saturday afternoon Barb and Jack showed up and all the cousins had so much fun together!

Both girls were being fussy and somehow Kortlin grabbed a huge peanut and started eating it. Rich finally got it out of her mouth but then she threw up all over him, which is why he looks so happy in this picture!

We put the kids in their PJ's after the dinner was over because we had to head home to be at church the next morning so both Rich and I could teach. We got home really late Saturday but it was worth it!

Basketball

Tonight was Caiden's first game for his team the Fireballs. He has played basketball lots before but never on a team. His team is 4-6 year olds so he is the youngest and he really loves his coach. He definately has the whole guarding thing down but doesn't quite get the concept of the game yet. These were a few of the questions he had about the game when we got home:
Caiden: "Who was that guy that kept blowing the whistle?"
Us: "Um Cade, that was the ref..."
Caiden: "Why did we have to keep taking turns being in time out?"
Us: "You were not in time out. Not everyone can play at once so you have to take turns resting."
Sorry about the pictures being so blurry. The lighting isn't the best in the gym and it's hard to get pictures of kids running!
