Memorial Day Weekend

On Friday we went camping off Woody Mountain Road with some friends. We rode quads, played wiffleball, watched the Suns lose, and got REALLY dirty! On Saturday night Keli and Jon decided to come out and join us. We were glad they came, it was a lot of fun!

Rich was excited he finally found a motorcycle that was just his size! HAHA!

On Monday we went geocaching for the first time. In the woods we found a zip line that my kids loved!

Afterwards we went back to my parents house and had a BBQ and played games outside. Me and Rich were the volleyball champs! Then we made homemade ice cream and smores. I love days like this!

Catching Up...

May is always the busiest month. There is so much going on the whole entire month that it is just pure craziness at our house! One day I was able to take the girls to play at a gymnastics place here in town. They LOVED it!!

I also turned the BIG 3-0! AHH!! I was completely spoiled by my family and friends! I am seriously sooo lucky! When I woke up Rich left the sweetest card and tons of fruit in the kitchen for me. Derek and Keli took me to breakfast at Cracker Barrel, then Derek took the girls home and put them down for a nap while Keli took me shopping. Then Ruth surprised me with a massage, getting my nails done, and my eyelashes tinted. (I didn't know there was such a thing and it was awesome!!) We also went to Caiden's T-ball game, out to dinner at Monsoon's, and then back to our house for cake and ice cream. I had tons of phone calls, texts, and other gifts. Definitely a good day! Thank you everyone!

Mother's Day Weekend

We had the wonderful opportunity to witness the sealing of our friends baby to them in the Mesa Temple and also be there for the blessing. What a perfect way to spend Mother's Day. We went down to the valley on Saturday after Caiden's recital and stopped to eat lunch in Anthem. They had a train outside that the kids were dying to ride in.

After the temple, we went to dinner with my mom, Keli, Jon, Aunt Deanna and Uncle Ed, and Lani and her girls. After dinner Rich and Jon took the kids back to my Aunt and Uncle's while us girls went for our traditional "night before mother's day" pedicures. It is always so much fun hanging out with my mom and sister. I am so lucky to have both of them!! We finished the night off with yogurt from Yogurtland...YUM!! (Thanks Rich and Jon, you guys are the best!!)

Mom-Thank you so much for all that you have taught me and all that you continue to teach me, for all your unselfish sacrifices, and for being the best Mom and Grandma anyone could ever ask for. Kel, thank you also for all that you do! I truly feel so blessed to have the family that I have. I love you both! (I also need to do a shout out to my mother-in-law. She is an amazing example to me also. We love and miss you and are counting the days until you get home!)

To my 3 sweet kids-Being your mother is the best thing I have ever experienced. I smile more, I laugh more, and I have learned to cherish each moment with you! You have filled my life with so much joy. It is an honor to be your mom and spend each day watching you guys learn and grow. I LOVE YOU!!!

Congrats Cody and Emily! We are so happy for you! Thanks for inviting us to be a part of your special weekend.

Let's Play Music

Caiden has been doing a music class called, "Let's Play Music" for about a year now. It's a music theory course that emphasizes total musicianship through piano playing, singing, classical music, note reading, and ear training. They had a recital Saturday morning and it turned out soo cute! He has really enjoyed the class and is excited to continue with it in the fall.

31st Anniversary

31 years ago today, these two were married in the Mesa Temple for time and all eternity. To celebrate we went to Caiden's game and then out to dinner at Buster's.

Our family has a tradition of coloring signs and hanging them on the wall for almost every occasion. My parents would always leave it up to us kids to color them for each other’s birthdays.

This morning my dad made these for my mom… I love seeing how cute my dad is to my mom even after all these years

For my parents anniversay gift us kids put together a video of my parents pictures when they were dating, some of their wedding pictures, and some others over the years. It turned out really good and of course made them cry.

Happy 31st Anniversary mom and dad!! Thank you so much for your perfect examples and all that you do for us. I am so grateful to have the BEST parents!! I love you both!!

Jog-a-thon

Caiden's school had a "Jog-a-thon" today to raise money. They had cones set up in a circle for the kids to run around. It was divided by grade and the 3 kindergarten classes went first. They also had a DJ with music blasting to keep the kids motivated. It was actually really cute. I helped out by putting a mark on the kids back for each lap they completed and also got to squirt them with water as they ran by to cool them off. Caiden ended up running 26 laps and was quite proud of himself!
