4th of July weekend

On Friday morning Derek and 2 other firefighters had to stand in front of Bashas' for "Fill the Boot", where they earn money for MDA and Jerry's Kids. They asked #1 if he would help out also. He was SO excited and has asked every day since then when he gets to do it again.

Afterwards Rich, my dad, #1, Derek, and Jon all headed to the lake to finally take the boat out for the first time this season. It's been too cold and this week has warmed up so they went for it. They got the boat out on the water and a few minutes later it started pouring down rain. It didn't let up so they loaded the boat back up and headed home. Rich and I packed up and headed to Phoenix for the rest of the weekend.
Saturday was Rachel's baptism. Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures of the cute birthday girl on her special day...we were lucky to get this family picture with how grumpy the kids were being.

We went back to Rich's sisters' house and had a BBQ and then they rented the city pool for two hours so all 27 of us went swimming! It was SO much fun!

David...started out trying to do a flip, chickened out and couldn't commit


#1 decided he wanted in on the fun but when he got to the end of the diving board he was shaking so bad that the board about bucked him off. With a little help (or shove) from Uncle David he did it!
