First Day of School

Uncle Derek stopped by just before we left to wish them good luck on their first day.  They were so excited to see him in uniform and in the ambo.

Caiden was SO excited to finally have his sisters at school with him!  This was the first time he was actually excited on the first day of school and not crying.

All smiles and excited here...

Things changed quickly once they realized I was leaving...I took this picture just before Kort started crying.

I am not sure who cried more, me or them.  I miss them all SO much during the day.  It's way too quiet around the house without them.

35 and counting

Rich's favorite birthday activity is going to the lake...unfortunately we have had some bad luck with the boat this summer and we couldn't take it out.  He settled on dinner at "Outback" instead.  Happy Birthday Rich! We Love You!!!

2012 Summer Vacay {part 2}

After spending half the week in Midway we drove down to Saint George for the second half where we met up with Jon, Keli, Crew, and Stephanie.  It was so hot that we spent most of the time staying cool in the pool!

Texas Roadhouse...yum!!

We can't have a trip to Saint George and not go to The Pizza Factory

2012 Summer Vacay {part 1}

The first part of the week we met up with Aunts/Uncles/Cousins and stayed in a resort in Midway, Utah.  It was beautiful up there!

We spent one day in Park City shopping, eating at Cafe Rio, and doing the Alpine Slide.

Poor guy was terrified to go alone but he did it!  Very slow and steady!

Unfortunately my cousin, Jami, took a turn too fast and flipped off the slide.  She had to be taken to the hospital to be checked out.  Thankfully she was okay though!

We did TONS of driving and luckily this sweet girl was like this most of the time!

We spent another day at Lagoon which was a lot of fun.  The kids loved going on the rides for the most part.

 This ended up being everyones favorite ride.  Like true Derek fashion we couldn't go on it without something happening. As we climbed all the stairs to get to the top and it was almost our turn to go the lady in front of Derek looks sick and he helps her as she is about to pass out.  He starts talking to her to find out what was wrong and then she pukes all over him.  Good thing he is trained for that sort of thing because both Rich and I would have started puking.  The next time we went on the ride we just missed being thrown up on.  It's definitely risky hanging out with Derek since things like this always happen to him.

Caiden is giving the rollercoaster in the background a big 'ol thumbs down.  I didn't remember it being to scary and we talked him into going with us.  He and Derek were sitting in the seats right in front of us.  Just as we rounded the last corner I hear Derek say, "Caiden!  Caiden!"  He had passed out he was so scared!  It took him a good couple of hours to recover from that ride.

On our last morning in Midway we went to "The Crater" at The Homestead resort which was just across the street from where we stayed.  It is a natural hot spring with 97 degree water and the prettiest clear blue water.  It was amazing to see!  We were there a little over an hour and by the end all the kids faces were turning bright red from the heat.
